Uncut from Northern Ireland
By day we would interview all sides of the Northern Ireland debate, trying allow different points of view to be aired. By night, I would get e-mails from people urging me not to believe what others told me.

In a nutshell, the Pentagon's argument couldn't be simpler or more red-bloodedly American: We have too much stuff there to leave Iraq any time soon.
Stripping Lieberman of his committee chairmanships is not about exacting revenge. Lieberman has careened to the right on both foreign and domestic policy issues.
Diplomacy is as important for keeping Iraq stable as it is for making sure that US troops are not targets of attacks by insurgents, or caught in the crossfire of an explosion of sectarian violence, as we begin to pull back.
Mohamed's painful story is one of many. He and I sit on "our bench" frequently, taking in the magnificent view of Manhattan and reveling in our victory, but we can't help but remember all those who were left behind.
I'm on a lot of strange press lists, so I get a lot of strange press releases, but this is the first time I've ever gotten one from another dimension, I have to admit.
Several prominent human rights and legal organizations launched a campaign in Berlin on November 10, aimed at persuading European countries to accept cleared prisoners from Guantnamo.
While US casualties in Iraq appear relatively low -- 4,100 dead and 35,000 wounded -- the real health costs of Iraq will, as in the case of the First Gulf War, not be known for years.
Thomas Friedman's depiction of someone who "could candidly talk back" to President Nixon is not the Kissinger we know from his taped conversations with his president.
Confounding the conventional wisdom that he is a lame duck president with no agenda as his days in office dwindle, President Bush is redoubling his efforts to mutilate the country before his term expires.
Even if the Obama administration pursues a very different policy in Iraq and the Middle East, I doubt it will acknowledge the amount of violence caused by the war during its first six years.

DontBeFoolish, your ignorance is astounding. I'm pretty sure the Iraqi's have pretty much had enough of US. Died for their freedom - you have GOT to be kidding me.
