Obama Diplomacy
We are witnessing the first test of statesmanship from our new leader. We may not readily see it, but he does. What we are getting is exactly what we found so appealing in the first place.

Speaking for my tiny little chunk of the liberal blogosphere, I don't like Joe Lieberman. I was disgusted by Hillary's campaign. And I couldn't be happier with Obama's decisions.
I am sorry anyone thought I wanted a real person dead -- I did not. But John McCain, Sarah Palin and all the zealot conservatives meant the dangerous things they said about Obama. They still mean it, and they've never apologized for it.
With the post-election analysis season almost over, it's worth taking one final look at some of the characters who ensured President-elect Obama would make it to the White House.
I don't know if John McCain's memory is starting to go and 2000-2002 is just a bit fuzzy, if he got so used to pissing away his principles for the good of the party that by now it's just reflexive.
Democrats' ambivalence about aggression has been as much their downfall in prior elections as their irrational commitment to rationality -- their belief that good ideas sell themselves.
It seems that some are more motivated by their reactionary anti-Obama feelings than their support for maintaining historic the crucial bipartisan support for Israel in America.
Alaskans may actually welcome secession and a few more like-minded friends with whom to celebrate it.
Sen. Clinton is obviously qualified and I think America would love to see a new government that wasn't simply made-up of cronies but of people with differing viewpoints who come together for the good of the country.
Palin's personal ambition is a real blind spot. She ignored her team of Governors at the Republican Governor's Association meeting last week.
Don't look now, but the national Republican Party is on the verge of becoming the California Republican Party. And that ain't a good thing -- unless you're a Democrat.
Potential Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Is it a masterstroke by President-elect Obama? A mousetrap for the Clintons? Is it even happening at all?
Coulter's solution to Republican problems is for it to become even more extreme than it already is. It's a recipe for disaster (and hopefully one that the Republicans decide to try).
Let's get the most out of it. Every Monday morning quarterback looks to see what we learned. What did that, big Tuesday game of Nov. 4 teach us? Where are we now? What's different?
If you watched the Palin interview and weren't scared out of your mind, then you're mentally ill. What you are not is responsible, informed, thoughtful, mature, educated, empathetic, or remotely serious.
Now that the Obama era is underway, consider this the first illustration (and casualty) of the new art of war.

So....... Flim-Flam-Frank finally turned on you did he ? The only surprise is that you are surprised !
A man who says on national TV that the term "Energy Exploration" is a more clear expression of Oil Drilling than the words : "Oil Drilling" ...... When you trust in people like that -- what do you expect ?
I'm really tired of hearing the lame excuse that John McCain can't operate a computer because of his war injuries.I've seen him on the telephone. Does he have some one dial for him?I've seen him on tv waving, shaking hands and making air quotes. If you have one working finger you can operate a computer. The reason he cannot has nothing to due with war injuries.
McCain lost because of many, many reasons. Palin the stupid evangelical spin to the republicans, their anti-anything that's not an old white guy. They harped on stupid insignificant crap, they race baited, bashed every other religion than evangelical christians, bashed every other race than whites, screamed about some parts of american being good and other places being bad and the last but most important thing was that McCain and Palin were just down right stupid. My 12 year old knows more about how the federal government works than Palin and McCain's answer to everything was I was a Pow. No ideas, no plans, just rude, nasty, jerks, that most people would throw rotten tomatoes at.
