Biden's bipartisan trip of national security heavyweights in the US Senate is an important step in reestablishing some trust and common purpose in US foreign policy across party lines.
Daniel Kurtzman, 12.27.2008
In a story about potential vice presidential picks, the AP referred to Joe Lieberman as "the Democratic vice presidential prick in 2000."
Jann Karam, 01.06.2009
I'm not saying that getting laid is the agenda at every political event. But when everybody's drunk on America, there's a good chance to engage salaciously with legislators or the fit security staff.
Sandy Goodman, 08.23.2008
The Democrats are expected to increase their lead in the Senate in November, but their Holy Grail is the 60 votes needed to stop future Republican filibusters.

In order for one to be a child, one has to be a human being, and human beings are biologically independent and viable organisms, which fetuses are not.

I can't wait til America gets to know Jill Biden. As down to earth and serious about education as they come. She's a working mom like many others around the country.
Erin Medlicott, 12.31.2008
As U.S. Senator Joe Biden's (D-DE) Chief of Staff from 1998 through 2003, Alan L. Hoffman directed Biden's agenda, communications and political operations, and managed everything from legislative affairs to personnel.

After watching the debate, I am convinced that if the country somehow has a collective mental meltdown and elects Sarah Palin, she will be even more dangerous than Cheney.
Jane Smiley, 12.18.2008
Joe, please don't ask me for any more money until you figure out that Rick Warren hasn't been buttering your bread. People like me have been doing that, and we are getting a little ticked off.

Tonight, as Americans have decided they would prefer Obama to McCain as their next president there is a sigh of relief, and disbelief, in many quarters in the Middle East, including in Iran.
Erica Jong, 10.03.2008
Hillary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro had ideas you could disagree with. But Sarah Palin is perky and inscrutable at once, you betcha. She talks. We listen but we have no idea what's been said.

Known in DC as a pro-Israel hardliner, he joins Pelosi in bringing to the Middle East peace process a record of support for Tel Aviv's targeted assassinations of Palestinian political leaders.

Why is this child up so late every time there is a camera op? Why isn't this baby sleeping in a crib or bassinet somewhere with a sleep sheep or some other sound apparatus lulling him into night-night?
Amb. Marc Ginsberg, 10.08.2008
I believe now is the time for Obama to consider a bolder and more historic approach to the financial crisis by presenting to middle income Americans a step-by-step "big think" FDR-style New Deal program.

Ed Henry "FAIL"
Ed Henry thought he could outsmart the smartest guy in the room, big mistake. He'll be going back to CNN with his tai l tucked between his legs.
What happened? I can't get the video to play.
It was a live feed which ended a while ago.
Thanksgiving dinners are not what they were when I was young and Mom and Grandma were alive. Then of course I didn't have a care in the world about politics. It was "Wow! I just ate four full plates of everything!"
Now I care very much about politics. And now I try to get through one small serving of everything. Mom and Grandma are more distant -yet closer too. And I am so glad, so happy to hear Barrack Obama speak intelligently about our current dilemma, his appointments, and his policy and programs. All best wishes to him!
I cringe at the thought of what might have been. It is very much a Happy Thanksgiving!
well, at least there will be an 'outside government board' to inject some new ideas. ideas he wont get from DC insiders and his appointees to his cabinet posts. it remains to be seen how much influence or affect the board will have, but, it's a good idea. if he can keep coming up with ways to involve regular folks, and folks not ruined by washington 'ways', then we may yet get some 'real' change. and if you have an opinion, and you want to express it without being called a bunch of childish names, go to change.gov. i emailed the obama team with my concerns over his cabinet picks, and i feel like he was actually addressing my concerns. i'm beginning to think he's for real ,again. only time will tell for sure, and unlike so many of you, here, i intend to hold barack accountable, and express my views whenever i please. now ,start your 'change tro//' or 'purity tro//' attacks . they really make you all seem so unitable.
